Manuel Pellegrini had a pretty successful time as Manchester City manager, winning the title during his first year in charge, and finishing 2nd the following season.
Things did begin to unravel for the Chilean in his third year, though, before he was replaced by Pep Guardiola in the summer of 2016.
It’s also fair to say that he had a mixed track record in the transfer market. He brought in club legends such as Kevin De Bruyne and Fernandinho, in addition to Raheem Sterling. However, there were also a fair few duds.
