Tottenham Hotspur V Manchester City: Premier League Preview

Manchester City face a tough test on Sunday evening when they travel down to North London to take on Antonio Conte’s Tottenham. Can the Citizens come away with the three points and put themselves back in contention for the Premier League title?

City do not have too much to worry about in the way of injuries. Phil Foden could return following a foot injury, but John Stones will definitely miss out with a hamstring problem.

In the Spurs camp, their newest signing, Pedro Porro, could make his debut against City at the weekend. Additionally, Richarlison could also return to the team – fellow Brazilian winger Lucas Moura is back in training, but will not have the necessary match fitness to play on Saturday.

The two teams played each other quite recently on January 19. In that game, it was City who emerged victorious – but Spurs didn’t make it easy.

At halftime, the Mancunian giants trailed 2-0. However, they came out all guns blazing in the second half, with Julian Alvarez, Erling Haaland and Riyad Mahrez all getting in on the act to secure a 4-2 home win for City. Can Pep Guardiola‘s men repeat this victory?
