Manchester City are still planning to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham this summer despite concerns that the midfielder may be put off by a move to the Etihad, according to reports.
With the Premier League having charged the Citizens with over 100 breaches of financial regulations, there is now uncertainty over the club’s future.
However, City’s recruitment team is said to be determined to press forward with an attempt to recruit Bellingham, who they see as a potential replacement for Kevin De Bruyne. Fans on Twitter are split over whether the England international would be a good signing:
His coming to the Etihad for sure.

Plenty of other teams are showing interest in Bellingham, including Liverpool, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United, and City’s situation may hinder their chances of securing the player’s signature ahead of their rivals.
It should be pointed out, though, that a lot will depend on who can come up with the funds to sign the 19-year-old. City do have the resources to spend in excess of £100m on Bellingham, and they will prove to be formidable opponents in any bidding war. Getting the approval of the Dortmund star, though, will be vital for getting a deal over the line.
