Clubs – C to L

Luis Diaz
Chelsea were touted to make a move for a new wingback but a transfer never materialised. They were also heavily linked with Ousmane Dembele, who ended up staying at Barca. The Blues ultimately decided not to make any significant signings.

On the other hand, Everton were very active by bringing in two new fullbacks, in addition to Anwar El Ghazi and Donny van de Beek. They also took a chance on Dele Alli. It is a pretty unusual deal with the club paying nothing upfront but they could end up paying up to £40m based on performances. Liverpool, meanwhile secured the most high-profile addition of the window in Porto’s Luis Diaz.
