Manchester City would be prepared to sell Leroy Sane if they are able to secure Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry in exchange, according to the Sun.
Sane is still very much on Bayern’s radar, and with the 24-year-old having less than eighteen months left on his contract at the Etihad Stadium, City may have to consider selling up.
However, it appears that the Citizens have been watching Gnabry as a potential replacement, and it is believed that Bayern could well be open to a swap deal. Fans on Twitter have had a mixed reaction to the story:
if this is accurate. I'll take it

I don't believe this report but tbh, this wouldn't be a bad deal

The story is believable, except that I don't know if Gnabry would be excited not to feature in the Champions league for another two years. Pep has won everything… he has nothing left to prove, except to show Man City that he could be a great ally in time of difficulty.

Gnabry has certainly been in impressive form for Bayern this season, having scored 14 goals and provided eight assists in 28 appearances. The former Arsenal star does, however, generally play on the right-wing so he wouldn’t be a direct replacement for Sane. He has been utilised on the left flank on occasion, and he scored a brace playing in the position during the 4-1 win over Cologne on Sunday.
