Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling provided two assists to help his side secure a comfortable 2-0 victory over Burnley yesterday afternoon.
The 27-year-old’s long-term future is still up in the air, with the player having yet to sign a new contract despite nearing the last twelves months of his current deal.
Supporters on Twitter have been praising Sterling with some calling on the club to agree an extension with the England international:

It is surprising that the Citizens haven’t stepped up their attempts to keep Sterling, but there is a feeling that the player is not entirely happy with his playing time under manager Pep Guardiola.
The two have had an uneasy relationship, with reliable sources claiming that the pair fell out last season before patching up their differences. With the likes of Arsenal said to be keeping tabs on the player’s situation, a decision on his contract needs to be made pretty soon.
