Srnicek

The keeper spent seven years at Newcastle, having a number of spells as the club’s number one during that time. He returned briefly to the Czech Republic in 1998 before being signed by Sheffield Wednesday.

Srnicek battled Kevin Pressman to be first choice keeper for 18 months before he left for Brescia on a Bosman free transfer in 2000. He did have two other brief spells in England with West Ham and Newcastle before he retired. The former Czech international sadly died of a heart attack back in 2015.
