City Consider Summer Swoop For 59M Rated Serie A Marksman Who Has Been Linked With Arsenal And Spurs

Manchester City are keeping tabs on Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez, according to reports in the Italian media.

The Serie A champions may consider selling the Argentinian international next summer to raise funds for new signings and he could be made available for between €60m (£50m) and €70m (£59m).

Lautaro was a target for both Arsenal and Tottenham last summer, with the latter believed to have tabled a number of bids for the 24-year-old, but Inter’s decision to offload Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea meant that the Argentine stayed at the San Siro.

With City keen on finding a long-term replacement for Sergio Aguero, it seems they could turn their attention to a fellow countryman, although it is thought that they may offer Gabriel Jesus as part of any potential bid.

Inter’s stance on a part-exchange deal is clear. They will only consider full cash offers for Lautaro so the Citizens would probably have to pay the full €70m.
