Manchester City are interested in three players worth a combined £185m, according to reports in the English media.
Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who is also being pursued by Manchester United, is said to be on the club’s radar. The 21-year-old is valued at £40m, but some claim that the Eagles will demand up to £60m.
Leicester City pair Harry Maguire and Ben Chilwell have also been tracked. The England internationals could be sold for any anywhere between £115m or £125m for the pair of them.
Maguire’s valuation is reportedly £75m while Chilwell may only be sold for £40m or £50m. The thinking behind the interest is that City want to improve the homegrown quota in their squad.
Fans on Twitter are not convinced whether the trio would add much quality to the team:
Don’t want any of them.

Wan Bissaka is horrible with the ball at his feet, honestly can’t see Pep spending that much on him

Those are basic players, don’t know why there’s too much hype…

Develop some academy player then

Only one I’d maybe take is Chillwell.

Maguire and xhillwell are average. Nothing special.

That is 150m at the minimum there. For players worth 100m in reality. That’s the problem. Even with world class facility, we can’t create quality players to fit our team. And the good ones get sold like gunn, maffeo, angeleno, roberts etc.

And really cheap too…. only 56 billion

City are unlikely to make moves for all three players this summer, but reports in the local media do suggest that Maguire, in particular, could be a major target to replace Vincent Kompany.
