Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has spoken out on the club’s interest in Manchester City winger Leroy Sane.
The German club are reportedly very keen to recruit the midfielder but Hoeness says the finances of the deal may make it hard to complete a transfer:
“I don’t have any exact figures, but I think that it could be very difficult financially.”
City fans are wondering why Bayern are allowed to speak out about their transfer targets in public:
No class. They go public numerous times before putting an offer on the table. Underhanded tactics.

@UEFAcom Why the hell are senior people at @FCBayern being allowed to constantly and publicly tap up a player under contract at @ManCity ?

Seems every day one of the Bayern folk are coming out and openly talking about signing Sane.
Very different if we were openly talking of signing one their players, I’m sure

200m and you can have him

Isn’t this “poaching” illegal under UEFA rules?

Yours for 150M and a 3 year transfer ban for tapping him up

Joining Bayern is a step down in my opinion, not because Bayern is a lesser Club to Mancity but the lack of competition in Bundelsiga won’t bring out the best in Leroy Sane and I think leaving Pep Guardiola to work with a not proven coach like Niko kovac is a step backward.

A very Bayern way to go about it…..Unsettle the player for a month or so without putting in an official bid

Hoeness’s comments follow on from Bayern’s chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge last week when he confirmed the Bundesliga side’s interest in Sane.
He revealed that the club had been tracking the German international before his move to City when he was still at Schalke.
Bayern are keen to replace both Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben who are leaving the Allianz Arena this summer.
Sane is seemingly their top target. The 23-year-old has two years left on his current contract at the Etihad but is reportedly stalling on signing a new deal. Whether that will play a role in City deciding to sell, we shall have to wait and see.
