‘Make This Happen. Get It Done’ ‘Swap Deal For Cancelo’ Fans React As City Target Move For Lightning Quick Bundesliga Star

Manchester City and Real Madrid are both targeting Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies, according to reports in the German media.

The Canadian international once held the record for the quickest player in Bundesliga history, and his ability to rampage down the left flank would greatly improve City’s options down that side of the pitch.

After hearing the news, fans on Twitter were very enthusiastic about the possibility of Davies moving to the Etihad Stadium:

It remains to be seen whether Bayern would be open to letting the 22-year-old go but, as a couple of supporters point out, it could be something that is brought up in negotiations for Joao Cancelo.

The Bundesliga champions have an option to buy the Portuguese international for €70m (£61.7m) but they are expected to negotiate down the price if they choose to snap up the defender on a permanent deal.

Including Cancelo in a part-exchange offer for Davies could well be something that City consider.
