John Terry Describes Man City Player As An “Animal”

Chelsea legend John Terry has likened Manchester City striker Erling Haaland to an “animal”.

Speaking to the Premier League’s official TikTok channel, Terry was asked to describe the playing style of certain players in one word, including Haaland, and he went with a rather flattering description for the Norwegian international.

Haaland does have some very unique traits. Despite his height and power, he is also deceptively quick, meaning he can be a nightmare to deal with when he is at his best.

Considering the sheer number of goals he has scored in his career so far, it is fair to say that defences have struggled to find ways to stop him.

It’s not the first time that Terry has praised Haaland

Speaking about the Norwegian last year, the former Chelsea captain even suggested that the forward has the potential to surpass any other player of the Premier League era:

“He could be the greatest ever in the Premier League, couldn’t he? You’re trying to compare him with somebody, I’ve never seen a player so young have that desire to score the goals he’s scored. He is just relentless.”

Haaland is now back fit and available for City

The 23-year-old did suffer an injury scare when he was left out of the squad for the 4-0 win over Brighton on Thursday evening. However, manager Pep Guardiola did emphasise that the player had only picked up a knock.

Those remarks from Guardiola have turned out to be accurate as Haaland has now returned to full training ahead of Sunday’s match against Nottingham Forest.

The striker is expected to be in the squad for the game at the City Ground, which will be a huge boost for City who will need his goals as they look to seal yet another Premier League title over the coming weeks.
