With Liverpool’s match against Leeds on Boxing Day postponed, Manchester City can stretch their lead at the top of the table to six points with a win over Leicester this weekend.
Manager Pep Guardiola will, though, be without Kyle Walker who has still not returned to training following an illness. Ferran Torres (foot) and Liam Delap (ankle) also remain sidelined.
Manchester City’s Predicted XI To Face Leicester:
Ederson, Cancelo, Dias, Laporte, Zinchenko, De Bruyne, Rodri, Silva, Mahrez, Jesus, Sterling
Leicester have a long injury list. Jamie Vardy, Caglar Soyuncu, Jonny Evans (hamstring), Hamza Choudhury, Filip Benkovic, Vontae Daley-Campbell (illness) and Ricardo Pereira (shin) are all doubts. Wesley Fofana (ankle) and James Justin (knee) are still unavailable, while Daniel Amartey is already away with Ghana for the African Cup of Nations.
Leicester’s Predicted XI:
Schmeichel, Castagne, Vestergaard, Ndidi, Thomas, Tielemans, Dewsbury-Hall, Soumare, Maddison, Vardy, Barnes
The bookmakers have the Citizens as the heavy favourites with Bet 365 pricing them at 2/11 for the win. A draw is currently 7/1 with Betfred, while a victory for the Foxes is 16/1 at Sky Bet.
Predicted Score – 3-1 to Manchester City
