Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella says Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne is the best player he has faced in the Premier League.

The Spaniard claims that De Bruyne’s ability to find space, create chances and score goals sets him apart from the rest:

“I think De Bruyne [is the best] because he’s a top player and he has a lot of power. He’s a very strong player and he always creates a lot of chances for his team. We [as opponents] have maybe more attention on this player because maybe he has the space or has the opportunity to shoot.”

You won’t get any City supporter disagreeing with Cucurella’s remarks. De Bruyne is truly one of a kind and it is not surprising that his fellow professionals rate him so highly.

Against Southampton last weekend, the 31-year-old racked up his 100th assist in the English top flight, which is an incredible feat that few players ever achieve.

De Bruyne actually reached the milestone 56 games faster than former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas, which just demonstrates once more the incredible vision and passing ability that he possesses.

Fans will be hoping that the Belgian international can strike fear into opposing players for many more years to come.
