Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and his coaching staff are not optimistic that a deal for Tottenham striker Harry Kane can be done before the transfer window closes, according to reports in England.
The Citizens are said to be preparing to play the rest of the season with Gabriel Jesus as their only recognised centre forward. The news hasn’t gone down well with some supporters on Twitter:

A lot could happen over the next two weeks so fans should not be too concerned at this stage about a move for Kane potentially collapsing.
It is true that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is extremely difficult to negotiate with, and he is reportedly demanding in excess of £150m for the England captain at the moment.
Whether his stance will soften if it becomes clear that Kane is willing to do all he can to force through a move, we shall have to wait and see.
