‘The Time Is Now, Do The Talking On The Field’ ‘Love Walker But No Chance’ Fans React As City Star Issues Title Warning

Manchester City fullback Kyle Walker is expecting the reigning champions to go on a long winning streak at some point between now and May.

Heading into the weekend, the Citizens are five points behind Arsenal, having played a game more, but Walker believes his side still have the ability to close the gap on their rivals:

“I know what this team is about. I know what this team can do. We can go on runs from now until the end of the season and it’s just about us doing that really.”

Supporters on Twitter are rather split on whether this City team has the character, resilience and determination to go on a long unbeaten run like previous seasons:

After last weekend’s defeat to Tottenham, there was a lot of pessimism surrounding the club and that was added to when the news broke this week that the Premier League have charged City with multiple counts of financial wrongdoing.

Such negatives, though, could be turned into positives. As we saw at Pep Guardiola’s press conference on Friday, the feeling of injustice has fired up the manager and it could do the same for the players too.
