Manchester City will join Chelsea in targeting Leicester City full-back Ben Chilwell, according to the Telegraph. Manager Pep Guardiola is considering strengthening the left-hand side of defence and the England international appears to be his top target.
However, the Foxes are said to rate the 23-year-old at the same price as Harry Maguire, who was sold to Manchester United for £85m last summer. For that sum, fans on Twitter have called on the Citizens to steer clear of the defender:
We don’t need him at that price especially aint worth it

£40m-£50m then he can be welcomed to Manchester a penny more and he can go back to Leicester

The £85m valuation is likely to be the starting point of any negotiation, but Leicester know that if City and Chelsea do get involved in a bidding war, they can demand a premium for the player.
Even if Chilwell was to be sold for around the £60m mark, it would still be a costly outlay on a position where Guardiola already has the likes of Benjamin Mendy and Oleksandr Zinchenko available to him as options.
