Will Manchester City win the quadruple?

A place in the FA Cup final secured, Manchester City have taken another step towards winning what would be a historic achievement – the quadruple.

Pep Guardiola has been keen to play down City’s chances of adding three more titles to the EFL Cup they won earlier in the season but talk surrounding City’s quadruple hopes keeps growing.

Even Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United side did not win the quadruple, as Guardiola has recently pointed out, but City are just a few games away from doing just that.

It won’t be easy, though, with the Champions League looking like the toughest of City’s remaining assignments. Their clash with Premier League rivals Tottenham in the quarter-finals promises to be a fascinating encounter, especially as Spurs have moved into their new home.

City are overwhelming favourites to win the FA Cup having set up a final against Watford by narrowly beating Brighton and Hove Albion in the semis. But can they win the lot?

Premier League title odds

The two-horse race for the Premier League continues to thrill, with Liverpool just about keeping the pressure on defending champions despite looking a little nervy in recent weeks.

Late goals were needed to beat both Tottenham and Southampton and it is fair to say Jurgen Klopp’s side have been riding their luck at times in their bid to unseat champions City.

Betsafe has City as 1.52 favourites for the title with Liverpool offered at 2.50. If you are interested in betting on the Citizens free bets are listed here or anyone who fancies Spurs to come from nowhere to beat both teams to the title can find odds of 2001.0 on Mauricio Pochettino’s men to do so.

City know the title is in their hands, as they will pip Liverpool if they win each of their remaining fixtures. A trip to face rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford looks to be the biggest test for City if they are to keep winning all their games between now and the end of the season.

FA Cup final odds

Watford were brilliant in coming from behind to beat Wolves but few neutrals will give them much chance of being City at Wembley next month.

The Hornets can be backed at 5.0 to lift the trophy with City at 1.16, although there is always the chance of an upset on an occasion such as this one.

City fans know that more than most as they were on the wrong end of one of the biggest upsets in FA Cup final history when somehow losing to Wigan Athletic just a few years ago.

Saturday 18 May is the day City and Watford will go head to head for the FA Cup, the date falling a week after the end of the Premier League season but before the Champions League final.

Champions League odds

Although City have yet to win the Champions League title, they have been favourites for this season’s competition from the start of the season.

With Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid – winners in each of the past three years – having already been knocked out they may never get a better chance to do so.

City may have preferred to have avoided another Premier League club but Tottenham, with no special rivalry, may have been the better of the three options for them to face in the quarters.

With City priced at 3.40 to win the Champions League it is clear the bookies are backing Guardiola’s side to come out on top against Spurs and progress to the semi-finals.

Should City get through to the last four then they would play either Ajax or Juventus, with Cristiano Ronaldo bidding to win the tournament for the sixth time in his career.

Juve are 4.50 with Betsafe to triumph in the Champions League, with the Serie A giants third favourites behind City and Barcelona, who are offered at odds of 4.25,

And all that means City could yet face either Liverpool or United in this season’s Champions League final, which is set to be played in Madrid on 1 June.
