Man City V Bournemouth Match Preview And Predicted XI Plus Betting Odds

Manchester City will head into the match against Bournemouth on Saturday off the back of qualifying for the knockout rounds of the Champions League.

The 2-2 draw against Lyon was just enough on the night, but they will be hoping for a more comfortable game at the Etihad this weekend.

The Cherries are coming off the back of three narrow 2-1 defeats in the league against Manchester United, Newcastle and Arsenal.

In terms of team news for City, Pep Guardiola will be hoping to have three players back who missed the trip to France. Bernardo Silva (knock), Gabriel Jesus (adductor) and Ilkay Gundogan (foot) were all ruled out for the game on Tuesday but could return on Saturday.

Bernardo Silva

The Citizens still have a few long-term absentees. Benjamin Mendy (knee) and Claudio Bravo (Achilles) are out until the New Year, while Kevin De Bruyne (knee) could still be a few weeks away from full fitness.

It was hoped that the Belgian international would return for the match against Chelsea on December 8th, but it looks as though that game will come too early for him.

For Bournemouth, manager Eddie Howe will be without fullback Adam Smith, who is expected to be sidelined for three months with a knee injury he sustained in the defeat to Newcastle.

At the bookies, for a City win, the best price you will get is 1/8 with Sky Bet. A draw is 11/1 at Betfair while the longest odds for a Cherries victory is 25/1, also with Betfair. Guardiola’s side are firm favourites to come away with the three points.

Manchester City’s Predicted XI to face Bournemouth:

Bournemouth’s Predicted XI:

Predicted Score – 4-0 to City
