Former Premier League manager Harry Redknapp has named two Manchester City players in his Premier League Team of the Week – Kyle Walker and Phil Foden [via BetVictor].

City picked up a comfortable 2-0 home win over Nottingham Forest at the weekend – they penned the Tricky Trees in effectively, with their goals on the day being scored by the aforementioned Foden and Erling Haaland.

Despite Rodri being sent off at the beginning of the second half, City were able to keep their opposition at bay and collect another three points at the Etihad Stadium.

City were not the most-represented club in Redknapp’s team, however – that would be Tottenham Hotspur, who had three players in the XI.

What did Harry Redknapp say regarding the Manchester City players in his Team of the Week?

On Kyle Walker, Redknapp said: “Kyle Walker of Manchester City is like a good red wine he just seems to get better with age! Another great performance on Saturday which saw him get an assist and a clean sheet even with City dropping to 10 men. Walker continues to lead the way in Premier League full backs and is an essential core part of City’s winning machine.”

Meanwhile, on Phil Foden, he stated: “My other City player this week is going to be Phil Foden. Foden to me has shown, this season, good consistency when available in creating chance after chance.

“One of the things I like most about his game is his movement and quality on the ball. It’s clear he has learnt plenty from David Silva’s time at Man City as I see such striking similarities between the pair of them. Foden displays true world class quality both on and off the ball.”

Which other players made it into Redknapp’s Team of the Week?

Redknapp’s full Premier League Team of the Week for game week six is as follows: Sam Johnstone (Crystal Palace), Kieran Trippier (Newcastle United), Jonny Evans (Manchester United), James Tarkowski (Everton), Kyle Walker (Manchester City), Anthony Gordon (Newcastle United), James Maddison (Tottenham Hotspur), Yves Bissouma (Tottenham Hotspur), Phil Foden (Manchester City)
Heung-Min Son (Tottenham Hotspur), Carlton Morris (Luton Town).
