United fans slam City keeper after Liverpool errors

Manchester United fans have taken to Twitter to slam City star Ederson after the Brazil keeper had a day to remember at the weekend.

The former Benfica star was at fault on numerous occasions on Sunday afternoon as City’s unbeaten streak was bought to an end by Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool at Anfield in a thrilling 4-3 affair.

The Reds took the lead early on thanks to a wonderful solo effort from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, before Leroy Sane levelled the scores just before half-time.


The home side then stormed into a three goal lead after the break, with goals from three of the former fab four – Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah – within the space of nine minutes shocking the visitors who had yet to taste defeat this season.

And it was Ederson who was at fault for the latter of the trios goals, with his failed clearance landing at the feet of Salah, who promptly produced an audacious lob to leave the Brazilian with his head in his hands.


Two late goals from Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan set up a nervy finish, however a late surge couldn’t stop Pep Guardiola’s side from suffering the bitter taste of defeat and save Ederson from having the finger pointed towards him.

The shot-stopper has had an excellent season so far, however that hasn’t stopped Manchester United fans from poking fun at Ederson’s unfortunate Anfield error …
