Manchester City winger Phil Foden has suffered a recurrence of a foot injury, and he is now a doubt to face Arsenal in the FA Cup on Friday.
The 22-year-old was not in the squad for the 3-0 win over Wolves at the weekend and he was also an unused substitute in the 4-2 victory versus Tottenham last week.
It’s not known when Foden will be back available and supporters on Twitter have been discussing the implications that it could have for the Premier League champions:

SUSPECT. Why has this not been mentioned before then?

Even if he was fit, I don’t think he would start

It could well be the case that Foden’s poor performances in recent weeks have been due to fitness problems. It’s not known when the midfielder began to feel the injury but he hasn’t been himself since the World Cup.
After the domestic season started on Boxing Day, the England international has played seven games, with his only goal contributions coming in the 4-0 victory against Chelsea in the FA Cup earlier this month.
